Job Description

We are looking for a C++ developer in embedded systems to join one of our clients' projects in the defense industry. The project operates within the aviation department. Here you will:

• Work extensively with programming in C++ in a Linux environment.
• Migrate large parts of the source code to a more modern standard.
• Port software to hardware running on the VxWorks platform.
• Maintain, update, and further develop older software functionality.
• There will also be a lot of new development to adapt the software to the hardware/platform.
• Interact with the client, run test cases, evaluations, and discuss ideas moving forward together (travel may be required).

About the team:

• A social and friendly team of about 10 people, representing all ages and experience levels.
• ScM-inspired working method with a team lead and a Jira board – but without sprints.
• A work environment where you are encouraged to take your own initiatives and not be afraid to seek help.
• Great opportunity to interact with other teams and gather information where it exists.

Qualifications

We believe you:

• Are a C++ developer who thrives in a Linux environment.
• Have a couple of years of work experience as a developer.
• Enjoy analyzing and understanding existing code, even when documentation is lacking and it is written in an older version of C++.
• Are social and comfortable communicating with other teams and experts.
• Have very good skills in both Swedish and English.

Desirable Skills

It is a big plus if you also have experience with:

• CMake
• Jenkins (primarily using, but also configuring flows)
• ADA95
• Previous experience from military/defense industry

This position is security classified, which means that a security clearance will be conducted in accordance with Swedish legislation on security protection. To meet the requirements of the security clearance, you as a candidate must, among other things, hold a citizenship that meets these requirements. If you hold dual citizenship, it is required that these citizenships are within a nation belonging to the EU or NATO for an approved security clearance.
